SAWATDEE FROM PHUKET THAILAND!

Hey WTM'ers!

Denise here from the Front Desk! If you've noticed that I haven't been there to greet you the last couple of days...well it's because I'm currently in Phuket, Thailand, training at Sinbi Muay Thai Training Camp!!

For those that don't know, our Gym plans a trip to this awesome place each spring. In fact, we've travelled and trained here every year since 2008!! Our very first trip to Thailand was in 2007 - that year we went to another Island (Koh Phangan). This year, our contingent will be training here between March 22-April 5. I'm here ahead of the main group because... I am so very special :-) ... sadly no. Actually it's simply because there would be no one behind the front desk if we all took off to Thailand at the same time! Thankfully, the lovely Cherise generously offered to help out full time behind the front desk during her Reading Week at MRU . I am so very grateful to her for allowing me this time here.

While I'm here, I thought I would try my hand at some blogging to give those who are interested in coming along next year, a sneak preview of what the Thailand training experience is all about.

Today is my first full day here . I've already completed my first training session this morning from 7:30 - 9:30 am. I then hopped on my scooter for "second breakfast" and then hit the 7-11 Convenience Store to stock up on the most essential thing you NEED while you are here... WATER...WATER... and more WATER!

I'm now relaxing and will start training session #2 at 4 pm. I apologize for the lack of pictures in this post. Now that I'm settled and getting in the swing of things, I promise to have my phone handy. What I can do is give you a bit of a tour of the place I'll call home for the next week and bit:

This is the entrance to my room. Lucky number 10! And there's my morning training gear doing it's best to dry out in the humidity.

A few steps down the path from my room and around the corner is this! Yep... I don't need an alarm clock to get me up for training. At 6:30 am, I wake up to the sound of "oooooweeeee" and the sound of Sinbi Fighters smashing pads.

Here's what the inside of my room looks like... air conditioning and clean...what more do you want when you come back from training and crash.

My bed with my brand new Thailand beach towel!

Sabai sabai everyone - hopefully you'll subsribe to our blog and tune in again.

Best,

Demise....

Dense...

Ummm Denise (I have the worst same for auto correction)!
